Does Consuming Garlic Cause Skin Allergy?

Hi, my name is ifiok. I consumed raw garlic for over a month without missing it for a day, and I noticed that i started developing issues with my skin like goose bumps for over 4 months now and it has refused to go. I hope i can a tangible answer to what the problem is. Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Eating raw garlic may cause gastritis or few patients may develop ulcers in the stomach. But you already taking it long term and it may be the not causative for allergy. Check for allergens like pollen, animal dander, mites etc. Use tablet Ativan twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
