Does Contraceptive Pill Cause Dark Brownish Vaginal Discharge?

I had unprotected sex with my bf on the 2nd or 3rd day of my periods last time, then I took an i-pill right after the sex. There are 9 days to go for my periods but I am having dark brownish discharge in small amounts for a week now, apart from this there is no such thing that is abnormal (no pain in any region). Usually I have this kind of discharge on the day before the beginning of my periods, but this time it has persisted for a week that too in the middle - like 15th day in between till today(20th day). Is this side effect or is there anything to worry?
