Does Costochondritis Cause Nausea And Dizziness With Muscle Weakness?

Hello Dr. Rynne, would costochondritis also cause nausea/dizziness/tingling in hands/muscle weakness/GI distress? Sorry for the long list; just trying to understand if the single diagnosis a primary care physician was actually comprehensive for the symptoms I m experiencing. Thank you for your time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Costochondritis is local arthritis at the upper chest area and it does not generally cause nausea, dizziness and muscle weakness.
You will need to talk to your doctor and have a thorough examination to determine the cause of your symptoms.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
