Does Crohns Disease Delay Seroconversion?

diarhea, flu, ( perionditis, one month after exposure to blood during sex in a high risk area) swollen glands, fever, easy bruising, tingling, weight loss, body jolts, mouth ulcers, severe headaches, pains through arms and neck, white coating on tongue, pharyntitis, muscle and joint pain. exposure in november last year. Current symptoms mouth issues and muscle and joint pain, neck feels swollen. Negative p24 antigen and antibody 6 months and 3 weeks later. Can hiv lay dormant? is there a new or rare strain or new virus which cant be detected? Could my crohns disease be delaying seroconversion.

hi
Thanks for your question.

as per my knowledge no literature says that chrons disease will prolong sero conversion.
you have mentioned that tests after 6 months were also shown to be negative.

You can go for RT-PCR( reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction ) which detects with high sensitivity. so please take the test and if it comes out to be negative then you can be sure that you dont have HIV.

hope i have cleared your doubts
