Does Cystoscopy Cause A Person To Feel Lethargic?

My husband had a cystoscopy done on Wednesday. Today he is lethargic, basic lack doing or eating much of anything. My husband loves to eat . He just went to bend over and pick up a piece of mail he dropped and fell over. Could it be from procedure? What do I need to do to help him feel better?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome to hcm,
short answer: cystoscopy will not make a person lethargic.
detailed answer: cystoscopy is a simple procedure it is through the urethra endoscopy (small tube is passed which has a camera) is done for seeing the urinary bladder. this by itself will not cause any problem if it is done in a proper manner.
there may be other causes for lethargy now it may not be due to cystoscopy.
hope this finds useful.

Dr.Amarnath
