Does Deficiency Of Vitamin D Cause Pain In Shoulders And Knees?
I have pain in my fingers wrist elbows shoulders and knees. I also have heat in my joints which only comes at night. I have been to a RA doctor and he says my levels do not show as I have RA. He said I have a vitamin D deficiency. I was bed bound for 5 months and couldn t even walk. Would this deficiency do this to me? My pain is very very bad at night.
Since RA test is negative, kindly get your Vitamin D levels checked in blood. Kindly consult Orthopedician with the report for appropriate dose of Vitamin D supplementation along with other minerals which would strengthen the bones.
Gradually, you should be able to overcome the symptoms and be back to normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
