If a person has been diagnosed with dementia-possibly Alzheimers, is it possible to have coughing spells for days ? Where is the coughing stimulus found in the brain? Also is it possible for an stroke to develop with this issue involving the right side-slight manifectation?
Cough is not related to dementia. It is possible that patient is aspirating, due to apraxia (which can affect swallowing). Also, dementia does not lead to stroke.
