Does Diabetes Medication Worsen Fatty Liver Issue?

Hi, I am diabetic and having medication as below, just curious to know my medication dosage is correct Metformin 500 mg 1-0-1 Januvia 25mg 0-1-0 Volibo .3 1-0-0 Losartan 50 for BP - 1-0-0 Crestor 10 for cholestrol I have rheumatoid arthritis issues and having medicine as below Methotrexate 10mg / week Folic Acid Infliximab infusion every 8 weeks. I have developed some fatty liver because of continuous methotrexate use. Is there any of my diabetic medicine possible to worse fatty liver issue. Regards, Jai

Hi,

The antidiabetic drugs which you are taking do not appear to cause fatty liver and are considerably safe to consume. The dosage appears to be in normal limits however the dosage depends primarily on the effect of drug on your disease, so the dosages need to be titrated with the effect within the widow of min to max levels.
