Does Discharge From The Ear Indicate Hole In The Ear?

I am 26 years old, 5 2 , 130 lbs, eczema and doctors say I have a hole in my eardrum. My hearing is not affected but I do seem to have lots of drainage in that ear. They did not seem to concerned about it. I forgot to ask if I should be concerned with this issue. No insurance so doctor visits are expensive. Thank you for your time.

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Drainage from ear can be stopped by taking antibiotics, but it's not the sure solution. As you know about the problem, treatment is must at this young age and hearing should be accessed by audiogram.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Chirag Vaghela
