Does Dizziness, Headache And Tinnitus Indicate Concussion?
a week ago I took a softball about 65 mph to the facemask that fouled off a bat while I was in the catching position. I get hit like this a lot but this one really rung my head. I was dizzy but I kept playing. I had headaches right after and am still having them a week later. I have ringing in my ears and I feel very slow. it s like my vision can t keep up with my brain. I am also still dizzy. I saw a neurologist and he did not think I had a concussion but my symptoms are worsening. Could I have a concussion from taking a ball to the facemask
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a head concussion, due to the indirect trauma.
Coming to this point, considering the fact that your situation is getting worse, I would recommend performing a brain MRI study or CT scan, in order to see if everything is OK.
In the meantime, I recommend having some rest and avoiding straining physical activity.

Does Dizziness, Headache And Tinnitus Indicate Concussion?
Hello, I believe it is very possible that you did suffer a concussion. At the very least I believe you may be suffering from symptoms of a post-traumatic headache even if not TBI. But I m leaning toward TBI if your status of alertness and consciousness were at all altered. Even for a few seconds. One does not need to actually lose consciousness to be classified as having had a concussion. It is a misconception that a person must lose consciousness to be considered as having had a concussion. Therefore, yes, you could definitely have suffered a concussion from that type of blow to a facemask. I would look up expert neurologists who specialize in concussion injuries.
