Does Drinking Milk Before An X-ray Test Affect The Result Of The Test?

Hi doc. Ive been having almost 3 weeks of cough then i visit my doctor and he gave me antibiotic Ciprofloxacin for 7 days. Then he yold me to have Chest Xray. After I took the meds for 7 days the cough was gone but still i have pleghm. I had to go for chest xray and the result was suggest to have apicolordotic view. Then i took that test to and the result was clear upper lobes. Take note i drink a cup of milk before goin to apicolordotic xray. Does it affect the result of my xray by drink milk? Im still worried because until now I still have pleghm. What can I do? Thank you Doc.

Hi.Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

Drinking milk before Xray will not affect the xray quality. Don't worry, The pleghm problem will eventually be okay.
If your Xray comes normal, doctor wil eventually continue ciprofloxacin for some more days or start a new antibitic if needed. A cough syrup would also be prescribed & you would be okkay.

Refer to your doctor for consultation
Don't worry you would be fine
