Does Drinking Wine Causes Discharge Of Blood In The Vagina?

I have on occasion had a tear drop of blood from the vagina and dragging pains in the stomach and right hand side. Since I have had a ultra sound to rule out anything re the ovaries and uterus I was wondering if drinking a lot of wine the night before could be the answer.

Hello,

Intercycle spotting and cramping can be a completely normal occurrence without any underlying pathology. Drinking wine will not cause vaginal spotting.

Since the ultrasound results were also normal, there is nothing to be worried. Implantation bleeding is also a consideration. So if you do not get your period as expected this month, please do a home pregnancy test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
