Does Early Bleeding When On Birth Control Pills Suggest Implantation?

Hi.. I have been on the birth control pill for 8 months and have never missed a pill or taken one late. I do sometimes have sex without a condom with my boyfriend as we have been in a committed relationship for a long time now. Recently I got my period a week before it was due according to my pill pack. It seems like a regular period but I am worried as I have read about implantation bleeding?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
No. It doesn't. Bleeding itself is a phenomenon wherein the uterus sheds off its contents. Even if it is early or late, it should not matter. If you miss a period and next period seems delayed, then there is chances of pregnancy. Even birth control pills also has some failure rates. In such a case, get urine tested for pregnancy.
