Does Elevated BP And Fatigue Need Immediate Medical Attention?
My daughter is 3 weeks short ofher 50th birthday. Her blood pressre is 178 over 105. She has an ulcer & her doctor took her off all her meds for arthritis, fibermyalgia & high bloodpressure. She tires very easily, doesn t want to eat . She has an ulcer & is taking Prilosec 4 a day. 2 in morning & 2 in evening. I am realy worriedabou h. Should I take her in to emergency tonite or wait untll morning & check with her doctor?

Elevated blood pressure needs early medical intervention in the form of appropriate antihypertensive therapy.Comorbid medical conditions like peptic ulcer can worsen in presence of high blood pressure.Early fatigue is a part of the chronic fibromyalgia in your case and is not related to the elevated blood pressure.I advise you to have your baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo to rule out any organic heart disease.Consult your cardiologist at the earliest.
