General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear , welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your question and here is my advice.
High level of cortisol and corticosteroids lowers the immune response to microorganisms making you prone of recurrent infection.
Also you should be checked for asthma by doing spirometry because recurrent infections trigger asthma and make you difficult to continue with sports.
Hope I have answered your questions.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
