Does Escherichia Coli Cause Sickness And Throat Pain?
I have been very sick for over a week. I have a bad throat infection but all strains of strep came back negative. my doctor said it is a bacteria infection and she did not seem too concerned to find out which kind of bacteria, she just gave me more aggressive antibiotic treatment since the one I have been on is not yielding good enough results. I also have had fever and chills...my question is, can e.coli cause these symptoms because I did drink of the brands that recently was on the news
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Yes, E-coli can cause reccurent sore throat. E-coli is normally present in the gut and it helps in digestion. It is known to cause respiratory infection, urinary tract infection, gastrointestinal disorders when you take contaminated food. It needs to be treated by longer course of antibiotics.
Hope this helps
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask.
