Does Exposure To Humidity Cause Radiating Pain In Jaw?

I ve been walking in the mornings...it s quite warm and very humid. About 30 minutes into my walk pain starts radiating into my jaw. Today I stopped until it subsided and continued on my walk. I m thinking its heartburn but I do take 150 mg prescription Zantac twice a day and would have taken one within 30-40 minutes of these episodes. The Zantac has been working. This has happened 3 days in a row and once last week.

Hello,

Heartburn and radiation to jaw, there's a chance of the chest pain is caused by reduced blood flow to your heart( angina) or an actual heart attack. Heart burn, angina and heart attack may feel very much alike. The heart attack involves sudden, crushing chest pain and difficulty breathing, often brought on by exertion. But many heart attack dont happen that way though. The signs and symptoms of a heart attack vary greatly from person to person. Heartburn itself can accompany other symptoms or heart attack.

Tpical heart attack sign and symptoms include: pressure, tightness, pain, or a squeezing or aching sensation in your chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw or back, nausea, indigestion, heartburn or abdominal pain, shortness of breath, cold sweat, fatigue and lightheadedness or sudden dizziness. The most common symptom of heart attack for both men and women is chest pain or discomfort. But women are more likely than men to experience some of the other symptoms, such as jaw or back pain, shortness of breath, and nausea or vomiting. Heart problems are more common among people who have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol. Smoking and being overweight are other risk factors.

If you have persistent heart burning and radiation to jaw or unexplained chest pain that went away within a few hours go to see your doctor or emergency medical help quickly. Both heartburn and a developing heart attack can cause symptoms that subside after a while. The pain doesn't have to last a long time to be a warning sign. So you have to be careful and see your doctor as soon as posible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
