Does Faint Line On The Test Strip Indicate Pregnancy?
I had tubal reversal December 9th, AF came December 18th then again on January 17th. We TTC on January 27th thru February 5th, today February 14th, I got a faint positive. I will test again in a couple days. Should we get our hopes up that we are preggers?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
Faint line on pregnancytest strip mostly indicate that you are pregnant. This is common in early part of pregnancy just 2-4 weeks after conception. This happens due to Low amount of HCG hormone in urine. With progress of pregnancy this test result will become bold positive. There is other possibility that this test result is false (known as false positive). Normally home pregnancy test are over 99% accurate. However faint positive result is prone to be wrong. In some cases there occurs an early miscarriage in pregnancies with lower HCG hormone levels.
You are advised a repeat pregnant test this time with a morning sample of urine. If still you gets a faint positive test then Blood test for quantitative beta HCG is advised.
Refer to a gynaecologist Hope this information helps
