Hello sharmeen;
Welcome to HealthcareMagic
The high grade fever;body pain ;throat pain headache will be a probable throat infection so get physically examined by doctor and take antibiotic as advised .To doubt malaria you should have just fever with severe chills and rigors and not body pain. Please take a pain killer and fever medicine like paracetamol and you may require a antibiotic and you should be fine but get the antibiotic prescribed after proper examination only.
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your query...

Your symptoms: throat infection, fever, muscular pain & headache all point towards common cold.

If you have running nose/blocked nose, sneezing etc... it further confirms common cold.

Regarding your query towards malaria:
Do you have fever, shivering, sweating in this order episodically... If this is the case... It may be malaria... It many require blood test to confirm it...

But your history strongly points towards common cold...

Consult your doctor... He may prescribe you some analgesics, anti-histamines & if required antibiotics...

I hope this answers you query... If you have any follow up queries, i can answer them too... If not kindly click accept...

Thank You,

Yours,
Dr.Tulasi Raman.P

Hi Sharmeen.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic forum.

The details you have provided in the query gives an impression of the following:
1) Viral fever
2) Chikungunya fever
3) Dengue fever
4) Bacterial infection of the throat
5) Malaria

It has to diagnosed by undergoing following investigations:
1) IgG and IgM for Dengue and Chikungunya
2) Rapid malaria test
3) Throat swab for culture and sensitivity.

Meanwhile you can follow these measures:
1) To consume boiled water
2) Gargle with salt mixed in warm water three to four times a day
3) To take antipyretics and analgesics for fever, chills and muscular pain
4) To consume Non spicy and semi soft meals.

It would be better to get examined and treated by a physician as it requires antibiotics or antimalarials accordingly.

Wish you a speedy recovery.

Regards.
