Hello Sir, I am 24 years old unmarried men from Mumbai. I had protected sex with few sex workers few months back but i did oral sex also. Now i am having fever from the last 4 days with cough and cold and tiredness also. Please suggest me what are the chances of having HIV +?
Hello You had PROTECTED sex with few sex workers . Oral sex also . Now fever , cough , tiredness , cold . If full protection taken in sexual intercourse there is very less chance of getting HIV infection . However, keep few things in your brain that condom should not rupture , penis don't touch ( particularly tip of penis or glans i.e. urethral opening ) cervical secretions and vaginal secretions . Now about oral sex:Although HIV can be isolated typically in the low titers from the saliva of a small proportion of infected individuals , there is no convincing evidence that saliva can transmit HIV through oral sex ( but it is not 100 % safe )because less than 0.09 to 0.3 % can get HIV infection with oral sex. Now thing is gone so get in P 24 rapid nucleic acid amplification test as early as possible . Antibodies to HIV begin to appear in HIV infected patient within 2 weeks of infection ( if ). Since you are having few symptoms resembling HIV ( acute infection ), so I recommend you consult a physician and get his opinion regarding flu type symptoms. Hoe this will help you.
