Does Fever, Swollen Glands In The Neck And Aching Joints Require Consultation?

I finished an antibiotic for an infection in my leg as a result of a blood clot that dissolved. Was on an anti biotic and finished it 4 days ago. Since then I have a low grade fever, swollen glands in my neck, a stiff neck, sore throat and aching joints. I have tried contacting my doctor but have not heard anything back . Not certain what this is or how serious this is.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are mostly having viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
URTI can be cause sore throat, low grade fever, swollen neck glands, joint pain and etc.
So drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
Avoid oily and spicy food.
Take simple painkiller like paracetamol.
You will mostly improve with all these in 5 days.
If not improving then consult doctor.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
