Does Fibroids Cause Light Menstrual Cycle?

My period is extremely light this month. I have been on Birth control for about five months now and have never experienced a period this light. what could this possibly be? I had an ultrasound last Friday for a different reason but the only abnormality was a couple fibroids. could that be the cause of my unusually light period?

Hi, generally fibroids are related to heavy bleeding. They are not associated with light periods. It can be due to some stress factor. Also do a urine pregnancy test just to rule out pregnancy because it can be a sign of implantation bleeding. There is a little chance of failure of contraceptive also.
