Does Fluorescent Light Exposure Cause Profuse Sweating?
When I enter a shopping center/building, I begin sweating profusely. The only thing I can relate it to is the fluorescent lighting on the ceiling. As soon as I leave the building, the sweating stops. I get drenched from the sweating. Is it the fluorescent lighting?
Your symptoms do sound like that of lupus, which is a autoimmune disease where the body's own immune system attacks the organs of the body. It is characterised by a butterfly red rash on the mid face spreading across the nose to the cheeks. You could also have some skin lesions on other parts of the body which flare up on sun exposure. Other symptoms include fever, fatigue, chest pain, joint pains, headaches, confusion, memory loss to name a few. In this case the fluorescent lighting worsening the sweating could point towards lupus. I suggest you visit your concerned doctor and get yourself thoroughly evaluated for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment.
