Does Frequent Intake Of I Pills Affect Periods And Hormones?
Hi. Im 31-year old never married girl . i had two i-pills in a month (second one aftet a week). Will it effect my harmones and periods????... I am realy worried about it. Plz help me what to do.. as my partner doesnt take precaution but doesnt discharge inside as he takes out at the time of discharge . how many tablets a women can take. And how frequent Can i have sex after taking contraseptive pill???
One or two doses of the I-pill will not affect your periods for a long term. After the drug is cleared out of your system in a few days, cycles will be normal. Repeated intake of I-pill for more than three or four times a month should be avoided. I-pill should be taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse for maximum efficacy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
