Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Frontal Lobe Brain Injury Cause Violent And Aggressive Behaviour?
I was coming down my street on my bike when I was around 12; I was told that early damage to the frontal lobe could lead to violent outburst later in life . I get upset easily and yell at people over next to nothing could it trace back to the accident?
I certainly understand your concern, but do not come to any conclusion yet. Yes of course the frontal lobe is related to behavior of a person. But this could necessarily doesn't mean you are behaving in such a way due to it. You can try going to a counselor or a psychiatrist to guide you to lead a better and peaceful life.
In your case since you are well aware that your behavior sometimes is troubling people and also your life, you yourself can make an effort to overcome it. try practicing yoga and meditation. it really does help. Rest assured that you will be fine because you very well know the problem at hand, and you will have more strength and will be able to solve it than anyone else instills in you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Suhas Chauhan
