Does Gall Bladder Stones Cause Increased Secretion Of Saliva?

My father-in-law has a problem with salivating excessively and spitting to the point of gagging and vomiting. This happens after meals, but not every meal. The problem begins with what looks like deep hiccups. He was recently diagnosed with gall stones. Could this be the cause? Thank you

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Gall stones can cause pain in upper right abdomen, bloating, fullness, nausea after having meals and other symptoms related to gastrointestinal tract.
However, it is unusual to have increased salivation due to gall stones.
Increased salivation is probably due to disorder of salivary glands or due to disorder of peripheral nervous system (para-sympathetic system).
Drugs can be responsible for these symptoms.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, investigations and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
