my wife has detected for suffering type 2 diabetics 15 days back. the doctor prescribed glycomet 3/850 one tab after breakfact daily. After taking the drug for 8 days, her fasting blood sugar level has come down to 242 fro 372. She is also with telpress 40 for high BP. Her BP measures between 140/90 and 140/100 with the drug. She is also taking one electroxin 100 mg daily morning for thyroid. the thyroid hormon is normal with the drug. Besides, she is having multiple kidney stones of small calculi up to 5 mm size in both the kidneys. After taking the glycomet for eight days she is now complaining of daily headache commencing in late night and continuing up to 10 AM next morning. Besides, she has developed pain around kidney areas. Pls advice whether these are the side effects of glycoment? how long she should take glycomet and whether any immediate treatment is necessary for the headache and kidney pain. Whether the glycoment drug is inducing the kidney stone pain?
