Does Having A High Heart Rate Cause High Blood Pressure?

hi I have a pinched nerve in my lower back which is makin my left side of my left foot numb & a constant pain going down my left leg..will that make my heart rate go up? Plus I nostice my heart rate go up alot after I eat...does having a high heart rate cause high blood pressure?
