Does Having Fever Cause Paget S Disease?
hi my mum is being investigated for paget s disease... she has been running a low grade fever for the last 25 odd days. inspite of various tests the doc havnt been able to get to the cause of the fever. does having fever have anything to do with pagets disease??

Since your mother is having PAGET'S disease.
In Paget's disease process begins with osteoclastic resorption of existing bone.This is followed by OSTEOBLASTIC regeneration of a primitive coarse-fibred bone which is highly vascular .
So there is no chances of any infection .
So in my opinion Paget's disease is not responsible for fever.
Fever of long duration may be due to other reasons .
So please consult one more specialist and get his opinion.
