Does Having Pap Test Cause Delayed Periods?

I was ovulating during the week I got my yearly pap. My period is now 2 weeks late. Husband has had a vasectomy many years ago so no chance of pregnancy. 47 yrs old. Could this be the onset of peri menopause? My periods up until the pap have been on time every month and normal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could easily be a harbinger of menopause. If you are concerned, go to your GP for a hormone analysis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
