Does Having Unprotected Sex Before Periods Due Date Cause Pregnancy?

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex last night. He did not ejaculate in me, however, I am aware of the possible containment of sperm in pre-cum. My boobs were sore this morning, but I am rather close to my period (a few days, if on schedule). How safe am I from unwanted pregnancy?

Hi thanks for asking from HCM

If you have regular cycles then the time period just before start of menses will be considered as safe. Sex during that period doesn't result in pregnancy. In a regular cycle ovulation occurs at around 14th day. A rough time period of about 4 days before and after that period is considered as unsafe.

So no need to worry. Soreness of breasts is unrelated to pregnancy. Pregnancy can't be diagnosed by these clinical symptoms.

Thanks. Take care
