Does Heart Burn, Post-nasal Drip Cause White Spots On Back Of Throat?

I have little white spots on the back of my throat. I suffer from serious heartburn and post nasal drip. Could this cause the white spots or should I be concerned that it could be cancer? My throat doesn't hurt at all. It just looks inflamed with little white spots.

I have gone through your query regarding white spots on the back of throat, though you are having post nasal drip and heart burn.

According to your clinical history and the observation as white spots at the back of throat it appears as you are suffering from chronic tonsillitis with septic foci or organise pus in tonsils. As you said about post nasal drip and heart burn so sinusitis and GERD should be ruled out by clinical examination and investigations as these may be there to develop problems in throat.

I would like to suggest you to consult your ENT doctor for above facts to rule out, till you are waiting for getting appointment you may take-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti histaminic and mucolytic.

3- Antacid with PPI.

4- Adequate fluid orally.

5- Avoid spicy food.
