Does Heavy And Prolonged Bleeding Indicate The Onset Of Menopause?

I am turning 50 this April. I have 3 children ranging from 14 to 22 years old.. I have had regular periods, like clockwork, all my life. In the last....3 years my periods have become VERY heavy and last a full 7 days. However, with this cycle I started spotting a week early and have been bleeding for almost a week and a half. Throughout this cycle I have been passing clots, some days very few and others, like today heavily. I have to admit, I have been dealing with an abnormally high level of stress recently. I don't have a fever, loss of appetite, and I am not feeling listless or weak. Is this the onset of menopause or something.......more?

Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. Your periods are not normal, you need evaluation for this AUB-ABNORMAL UTERINE BLEEDING, what I suggest you is get a scan pelvis to know any uterine pathology and also endometrial thickness. you need medical treatment for this heavy periods.
