Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...I have had monthly periods to last 5-9 days and sometimes next period starts 16-18 days later. Last year I had a blood transfusion and another last month. I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy (results were both normal). I feel tired a lot. I usually get out of breathe faster than others when walking a short distance.
While loosing a lot of blood on menstruation and fast breathing on walking are signs of anemia you should have cbc on monthly bases if your hb is lower to 6, then you should need blood transfusion and yes heavy menstruation is some kind of problem
