Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Hernia Cause Severe Pain On Both Sides Of Groin?
I have had chronic pain in both sides of my groin. Lifting a refrigerator at work something got worse. Two different doctors did a physical both saying i have a hernia. I very persistently insisted that the pain was deep in my groins and thought it was something else. They sent me for a pelvic mri and came back negative for everything. Then sent me for an ultra sound and said i have a hernia on my left side. Which i can believe. But i have severe pain in both sides of my groin. I can t even perform a kicking motion without tearing up in pain and I m not a baby by any means. I do occasionally play soccer and train mma and i need to be able to kick again!!
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the pain begins with lifting of the weight then chances of inguinal hernia is likely and it is very obvious in clinical examination rather than tests or imaging study, it would be surgical condition and care need to be taken for this your concern hope this advise and information helps.
