Does Hernia Or Slipped Disc Cause Burning Sensation In Arms & Legs?
My husbands arms and legs hurt. Sometimes it s a burning sensation sometimes it s dull pain. Sometimes it s only his legs; sometimes only his arms. We had x-rays done which showed some calcium deposits in his spinal cord (neck). Along his back, there isn t a lot of room between spinal bones. We were told he may have a a herniated or slipped disc which may be causing these problems. Does this sound logical? What else could it be? what tests should be done?

Does Hernia Or Slipped Disc Cause Burning Sensation In Arms & Legs?
Hello, A herniated disc in the neck region can cause nerve compression and cause these symptoms. However, we have to rule out conditions like peripheral neuropathy. Consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
