Does Herniated Disc Cause Swollen Neck And Sore Throat?
i have a herinated disc in between c5 and c6 i woke up this morning with a swollen neck and my throat is very sore and hard to swallow im in alot of pain in my neck could they be linked together?? i dont have a runny nose or cold or flu or anything like that
Herniated disc at C5-C6 is not at all related to the neck and throat problem for sure. The sore throat and swollen neck may be due to infection in the throat that is spreading to the neck also. I would advise you to rush to the ER to have clinical evaluation, examination by a doctor and have investigations of blood for WBC, sugar, kidney function. Take MRI of the neck and pharynx to know the cause and effect, Endoscopy of pharynx too. All these will get a proper diagnosis so that a proper management with an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory can help you to get symptomatic relief and cure too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
