Does High TSH In The First Trimester Affect Baby S Growth?
hi, I am almost completing my first trimester. My pregency was not planned. By the time i realised that iam pregent after six week my TSH levels wer 6.4 now it has come down to 0.38 after medication. Does this high TSH in the first first few weeks effect my baby growth?
No, this high TSH level will not affect your baby. So dont worry and be calm, happy and stressfree as you are in your pregnancy. Your TSH level was transiently increased and it came down after medication so it will not have any effect. Meanwhile consume iodized salt, keep the salt packet closed and away from sunlight as air and sunlight reduces iodine level in it. Repeat the test for TSH after one month to know its level. Consult your Obstetrician if the levels are not adequate.
