General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

High blood pressure rarely causes headache, most of the time it is the headache that increases the blood pressure.
On the other hand, because your BP was so high, it is important to have a check with your doctor and have a thorough examination to make sure which is the cause of your increased BP and headache. Rarely, a condition called pheochromocytoma may cause both increased BP and headaches.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
