Does High Dosage Calcium Interfere With Lipostats And Is There Any Alternative Treatment Besides Fusing Vertebra For Osteoarthritis?
Hello, I am in the UK and my mum is in Perth Australia. She was recently taken to hospital with bad pain in her lower back. She has been on heart tablets (lipostats) for over 20 years..she has had x-rays and has been told that there is a high probabilty of osteoarthritis and that they may need to fuse the 12th Vertebra. Also, mum thinks that calcium tablets may interfere with her heart tablets. So I my question is...Does high doesage calcium interfere with lipostats and if so, are there any other treatments besides fusing vertebra and if not, what degredation of mobility will she have.

hello i got your problem. your mom will be fine with both of those drugs lipostats and calcium tablets . in experience i didnt get even a single case that conflicting with drugs prescribed to your mom. just use the drugs and get well soon. osteoarthritis that your mother have now is not related to drugs its most probably due to her age .follow your doctors instructions.all de best for your mom. bye
