Does High Fever And Bloated Stomach In An Infant Mean Colitis?
My daughter is 1 and has had a fever of 102 and higher on and off for a week now and I noticed today that her tummy is bloated. I ve been worried that she has colitis and her pediatrician thinks she had a milk protein allergy and we have been off ALL dairy for a week now and she hasn t had any for even longer than that. How do I know if her belly is bloated really? It s still soft but seems larger.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, yes this could be allergic condition and this need to be managed accordingly if the condition is due to the milk protein then you need to change the food, or need to wait for some time till the adaptation comes, or immunity develops against the allergens otherwise this is nothing to worry, if the fever persistence then this could be viral infection, hope this information helps, take care.
