Does Horse Gram Have Any Effect On The Acne Treatment?
hi, I am 26+ year old, taking isotroin medicine for acne under the supervision of the dermatologist. I heard that horse gram helps in reducing weight. Hence thought of starting with eating horse gram. However I am little doubtful thinking that as i am on medication, does eating horse gram is going to affect in any way or not. Would appreciate your assistance. Than you
Horse gram is rich in dietary iron and calcium. However, iron and calcium are combined with certain chemical compounds, rendering them un-absorbable by the body.
It is also one of the richest vegetarian sources of protein. Since it is low in calories and high in fiber content, it is known to help in weight loss.
However, there is no scientific evidence about its consumption being associated with acne.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
