Does Hunger Lead To Chest Pain?

Hello, I am a 20 year old female. Weigh 100lbs at 5 5ft. Sometimes when I am really hungry, I get a pain directly where my heart is .I believe it has been occurring for about 3-4 months now. It stops right after I eat or drink something with milk. I am worried it may be a heart disease or something else. The only medical condition I have that I know of is iron deficiency anemia. I would like to know, what what may this be and what causes it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Thankyou for contacting HCM.

You seem to be suffering from Acid Peptic disease. As our oesophagus also passes near the same area as that of heart the acid reflux can cause pain in the heart area.

TREATMENT:
cap. omeprazole 20 mg twice daily for two weeks.
tab. domperidone 10 mg three times daily for two weeks half an hour before meal.
antacid syrup three times daily half an hor before meal

PRECAUTIONS:
Avoid spicy or oily food.
Decrease your intake of alcohol, cigarettes, carbonated drink and drugs like NSAIDs.
Keep taking small meals as empth stomach exacerbates this condition.

I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
