hi Dr i have a Question i had a Hysterectomy last July and anyway. i have been running to the bathroom with Diarrhea ever sence. and these past June i had my Galbblander out and yes i know you run to the Bathroom after but i have the same proublem before the Galbblader. and i was seeing if it can becaused from the Hysterectomy. all so i have been taken Diarrhea meds and they don t even touch it. and i am so tired all the time. can you please help me out thanks, cindy,
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Diarrhea after Hysterectomy is possible only if there is PID that is pelvic inflammatory disease and hence such a coincidence is not known to occur. Gall bladder surgery can cause such a problem but your problem continues far before Cholecystectomy. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation. Get the stool tests for three consecutive days. Ultrasonography of the abdomen followed by a Contrast enhanced CT scan if required. Tests of blood for CBC, thyroid, liver and kidney functions. Clinical evaluation by a Doctor for getting a proper diagnosis, correlation with the lab and other investigations to get a plan for proper management.
