Does Implanon Causes Slimy Brown Discharge?

I have been on the implanon for almost a year now. Is it normal for me to be having a slimy brown discharge? I am also having small blood clots coming out as well. I had already started bleeding before I got the discharge and the clots. I am 5'9, 220 lbs, 22 years old. I have a history of high risk pregnancies. This is my 2nd time on implanon.

Hello,

Implanon may cause slimy brown discharge due to hormonal imbalance, PID or other infection, ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. You have not stated whether you are passing only clots or also tissues in the discharge.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get the required blood and USG (Uterus) done to detect the cause. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected and your clinical condition.
