Does Increased Amylase Cause Strange Bitter Metal Taste In The Mouth ?

just had test results back with high reading 230 Amylase have been unwell over the last 48 hrs being admitted to hospital. I have been experiencing a strange bitter metal taste in mouth for a couple of weeks now, would this have anything to do with the test results, have got to go for scan.

Hi. The relation between increase in amylase and bitter taste in mouth has not been observed. It may be because of the long illness/ local mouth problems or due to medicines which are excreted through saliva causing the bitter test in mouth.
