I am on Hormone Replacement Therapy and have been for a few years now. The first doc had me on a 50/50 cream of estrogen & testosterone. Took a progesterone 100mg at night. My hair fell out so badly that I changed doc and she recommended eliminating testosterone in the formula. She put me on Vivelle Dot .100 and 100 mg progesterone at night. I began bleeding almost every day for a month. She referred me to my gyno. She reduced my estrogen to .75 and same progesterone at night. Bleeding slowed considerably although I still have a period each month and tender breasts. Blood work looks good. She recently upped the progesterone to 200 mg because I was showing signs of uterine junk. Ultrasound finally looked clean. Problem now is that my hair is thinning againe. Could this be because of the increase of progesterone or should I lower the estrogen and progesterone levels both?
