General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello! thank you for your query. Base on your description you may be having cellulitis which is a common bacterial skin infection probably secondary to your previous wound (burnt wound). Signs of infection include redness, swelling and pain. It may be also noted that the area around the affected area is warm to touch. In some cases, you may also experience fever which is the normal reaction of the body against an ongoing infection. If confirmed, You may take antibiotics such as cloxacillin 500mg every 6 hours for 7 days and non steriodal antiinflammatory medications such as celecoxib 200mg 2x a day as needed for pain.

Hope this helps, a feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
