Does Intake Of Aciphex For GERD Cause Persistent Cough?
I am taking Aciphex for GERD. Is a cough a normal side effect? It is a high allergy season this year in NJ, so I am unsure which is causing this. The cough is different that most coughs I have had in the past, it is sudden, produces a small amount of clear mucus, and is uncontrollable at times.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the GERD condition then it may cause the cough and other respiratory symptoms and it may not be due to drug if you are taking some drug for this then it need to be continued for at least six weeks, if the cough not subsided then you can try some cough suppressant like "Dextromethorphan" else it is nothing to worry hope this information helps.
