Does Intake Of Amlodipine And Natrilam Help In Treating Hypertension?
Hi I am 39 years old working in Software Industry, having very irregular schedule. I was diagnosed with Hypertension about 8 month back may doctor initially suggested Tezloc 40 however later switched to Natrialm 5 (Amlodipine 2.5mg).. i read that the two medicine have very different mechanism - 1.what are the parameter which canuse change in medication strategy. 2. Want to know which one is better 3. Is there any possibility to get rid of these medicines, in ones life Please advise.
From your description, I am of the opinion that I should explain your queries pointwise.
1. Tazoalc acts by inhibiting angiotensin receptors so blood vessels dilate and BP is reduced, Amlodipine acts by inhibiting calcium channels in vessel wall cells so they reduce less, less contractibility less force, so BP will reduce.
2. I will advise you to be on Tazolac for now 3. You should use fewer salts, fewer fats, more fibers. It can help you to lower your dosage in supplementation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
